The sun is officially out - and just in time for Lion Brand Yarn's new color of the month for May: Marigold. This warm mustardy yellow evokes warmth and the promise of long summer days as we creep into higher temps. While I'm not much of a fan of bright yellow, a rich mustard is totally another story. Lemon Drop Sweater pattern by Two of Wands

The Lemon Drop Sweater was one of my favorite collaborations with Lion Brand from 2017. Using their LB Collection Cotton Bamboo yarn, this baby drapes like no other and slinks off the shoulder in just the right way. The yarn is cool to the touch and the dramatic wide sleeves bring even more of a breezy effect that make this the ultimate summer topper.

A couple of months ago I drove cross country with my dear friend Paige and the Lemon Drop Sweater was one of the essential garments on my packing list. I wore it in Joshua Tree, CA where the dry air causes blazing hot days to transition into perfectly chilly nights.
