Pattern Suites: Winter Essentials
UPDATE: THIS PATTERN SUITE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. SIGN UP FOR MY NEWSLETTER TO BE NOTIFIED WHEN PATTERN SUITES BECOME AVAILABLE AGAIN.
When I launched Pattern Suites in 2019 I had so much fun choosing the monthly themes and having an opportunity to showcase older patterns again. It gave me the opportunity to shed some light on those projects that had been collecting dust, and it introduced all of you to patterns you may not have known existed! After taking a bit of a break and restructuring, I’m so excited to be relaunching Pattern Suites! There have been lots of patterns released since I began the program, so I have even more to include. This time around we will be focusing on seasonal essentials - those wardrobe staples that seem to stay classic and in style from year to year. So without further ado, let me introduce to you:

These suites have been specially curated to contain only my top selling garments and accessories that are sophisticated and fashion forward. Each of these items pair well with many different outfits and even with each other! We are talking go-to essentials that you’ll wear over and over throughout the season. They are all worked up in bulky or super bulky weight yarn for extra warmth and quick stitching.
The suites of 6 knitting or 6 crochet patterns are available for only $12 - more than 50% off if you were to purchase them individually! They will only be available for a limited time - from now until March 15. So grab yours now while you can! Scroll down for a little background on each one, including an explanation as to how they each make the perfect "essential" piece.

The Arya Poncho is one of the most beginner-friendly elegant pieces I have in my arsenal. The gorgeous herringbone fabric is such a classic texture, and with zero shaping it’s truly mesmerizing to watch this basic rectangle turn into a poncho! It’s one of the easiest things to throw on for an added layer, and it’s cozy and non-restricting enough to wear around the house as well.
If you’re looking for versatility, the Louisa Wrap is where it’s at. I had to make this one in three different colors for myself (rare that I will ever make the time to do that!) because I was legitimately wearing it every single day when I designed it back in 2016. I love how triangle wraps can be worn both elegantly over the shoulders or wrapped with the point in front to snug the neck. Once again this is a super fast project (5-6 hrs!) and is something you’ll reach for over and over.
The Red Hook Afternoon Shoulder Bag is a major fan fave and I totally understand why. The meditative rounds that build up quickly with super bulky weight yarn make this such an enjoyable project, and the bag itself is so comfortable and chic to wear. It looks so high end, and every time I wear it in NYC I get people on the street stopping to ask me where it’s from!
Does a beret ever go out of style? The answer is no. We all know the French are the leaders in the style department, so what better accessory could you possibly have that instantly elevates an outfit!? You can make the Rochelle Beret in less than an hour (which also makes it the perfect gift and market product!), and before you know it you’ll want one in every color.
The Shelter Pullover was by far the top seller in my recent Heritage Collection. It has all the elements of the winter cozy vibe - oversized, rib, turtleneck, effortless. I love that this crochet stitch mimics the classic knit fisherman’s rib stitch, which gives it such a classic, sophisticated feel with a modernized touch.
Last but not least is the top selling crochet pattern from my 2019 Journey Collection. The Winds of the Atlantic Topper has the most epic pockets, and the silhouette makes it such a statement piece. I love wearing this one over a tight fitting jacket to give me additional warmth on the torso while keeping my arms free rather than donning a big puffy coat.

As soon as chilly temperatures hit, there’s nothing more enjoyable than wrapping up in a big blanket scarf. Classic embossed chevrons adorn the Elysian Blanket Scarf, a shockingly simple beginner level scarf with big impact. Wear it long and lean, doubled and wrapped around the neck, or simply criss-crossed over the shoulders for a versatile look that pairs with every ensemble.
Nothing says sophisticated like cable knits. The Kensington Cable Wrap brings chunky twisted cables together with extra squishy bobbles in this criss-cross wrap that brings the concept of a shawl to a new level. Reminiscent of vintage stole silhouettes, this chic accessory will instantly become an heirloom piece.
The Quilted Sweater Coat is the kind of piece you’ll live in all winter long. Three-dimensional tuck stitches, a long and lean silhouette, and inset pockets give this cozy oversized cardi a classic meets modern feel to make it wearable for years to come.
Probably my favorite pattern in the suite, the Seafarer’s Cap is what you’ll find me wearing every day of the week. I personally own it in 6 different colors, and I have plans for even more! This chunky weight beanie is ultra warm and cozy and so very quick and satisfying to make. The ribbed fabric with mirrored decreases make it an instant classic.
An updated chunky weight version of one of my all-time most popular patterns, the Winter League Pullover mimics the classic appeal of a lived in sweatshirt with the sophistication of knit sweater. The v detailing at the neck makes this cozy raglan pullover extra special along with the split hem and doubled ribbed crewneck.
This extra wide headband in doubled broken rib squishy fabric will keep you snug all winter long while taming hair and maintaining a feminine, stylish look. The Thermal Twist Headwrap is simply sophisticated and will have you giddy every year when the temperatures dip down again.
