Ah, Taurus season … a chance for us to come back down to earth and our roots after the “race ahead” energy of Aries season. It’s time to slow down again and soak in the beauty that surrounds us as we appreciate the natural rhythms of nature. I’m so grateful to be spending this month in Costa Rica where it’s hard to do anything BUT that! The sun rises early and sets early here year round, and you find yourself immediately connected to the circadian rhythms. Spending so much time at the beach amongst the waves really helps you to connect to nature and find stillness and peace. There’s so much beauty here in the vegetation, the sunsets, the fresh food, and the passionate people. The Nicoya Peninsula where we are is one of the five blue zones on earth - places with the highest concentration of centenarians. In these zones people are incredibly in tune with nature and its gifts, and I’m doing my best to tap into that while I’m here! If you haven’t seen the Netflix documentary series about blue zones I highly recommend it!

While it’s hard to live like those in the blue zones in our modern westernized world, and it’s easier said that done and very privileged to be able to take a break from our hectic digitized lives to be present with nature, I hope we are all able to at least find moments of pause this season. CO 39 with MC. Begin chart at bottom right corner, row 1. Chart is read from right to left on RS rows and left to right on WS rows. Each cell represents a single stitch in the color indicated. K each RS row and P each WS row. Use intarsia and stranded knitting techniques to complete chart through row 52, then bind off with MC.
