+ DESCRIPTION
The Moroccan wedding blanket, also known as a handira, is a meaningful part of Berber culture. Handwoven by the bride's female relatives, the blanket is meticulously and mindfully imbued with wishes of fertility and good luck. This knit version has been inspired by some of the design details found in the classic handira.
+ SKILLS
This is an intermediate level knitting pattern and the techniques involved are the knit stitch, purl stitch, slipping stitches, and making loops knitwise and purlwise.
All patterns are written in standard US terms.
