KNIT OR CROCHET YOUR OWN STORY WITH THE GENRES MAL!
It is my absolute pleasure to introduce the Genres Make-Along! This is a project I’ve been working on behind the scenes for several months, and I’m so thrilled to finally be able to share it with all of you. This MAL is comprised of two wraps - the knit Storyteller Wrap and the crochet Book Club Wrap - and I’ve curated 35 gorgeous color combinations, all based on book genres.
Rich with textures, colorwork, and techniques, these wraps symbolize stories layered with twists and turns and a cast of characters. They are works of art and meant to be enjoyed as projects and as finished pieces alongside your favorite book. Choose from one of the 35 genres or put together your own!

Due to the popularity of the knit Audrey Neck Scarf, I tinkered and toiled until I worked out the perfect crochet sister pattern - the Amelia Neck Scarf! This project was inspired by all of the colorful knitwear seen year after year at the NY Sheep & Wool Festival in Rhinebeck and the cozy fall vibes at the fairgrounds. I'm always drawn to the mini skeins at any yarn event, and the various sets I've acquired have always sat untouched on my shelves - until now! This project is the perfect one-size-fits-all design to use a full set of 10 but you can use any number more than that as well!
Introducing COLOR THEORY, a worsted weight, super soft 100% acrylic yarn in 18 gorgeous colors that's designed to work through all of the seasons. Since launching Hue + Me with Lion Brand in Sept 2020, the # 1 request we received was for a lighter weight yarn with a similar sophisticated mix-and-match palette. So last summer we got to work and started going through dozens of samples, ideas, iterations, and colors to create a brand new yarn.
We took extra care to be incredibly considerate and thoughtful with every choice and aspect of this yarn as we developed it to make it the absolute best for all of you. Our mission with Color Theory was to create a yarn with a year round appeal so that no matter what climate you live in, or what season it may be, you would be equipped with a beautiful yarn suitable for an endless amount of projects.
